» Bangkok is collaborating with Dutch experts to transform into a more walkable and cycling-friendly city, as highlighted during the ACTIVE Workshop held at City Hall. Assoc. Prof. Wisanu Supsompon and Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governors of Bangkok, alongside Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, the Dutch Ambassador to Thailand, discussed strategies and shared ideas aimed at realising this vision. The initiative focuses on improving bike-sharing policies and enhancing first and last-mile travel to facilitate easier bicycle use. The Dutch Ambassador applauded the collaborative efforts to address cycling challenges in Bangkok, underscoring the city's potential for cycling-friendly development. The workshop, part of the "Alliance for Cycling and Walking Towards International Vitality and Empowerment" (ACTIVE) project, aims to apply Dutch cycling expertise to Bangkok's urban landscape, with over 60 representatives from various agencies participating.
