Over the past few years, however, many of these resorts have been coming briefly back to life in July and August, as the chairlifts become fitted with bike racks and mountain bikers flock en masse to the region. Having succumbed to the lure of sunny skies and hundreds of kilometres of single-track, we packed up our bikes and headed over to France.
