To reduce this scourge, 175 nations agreed to develop a legally binding agreement to address such pollution within the marine environment, known as the Global Plastic Treaty, during the 5th United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya. A draft of the treaty is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

    » The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) performed the grand finale of Season 31 of "Concert In The Park" earlier this month. The season began in December last year at the Thai Royal Horse Guard, Sanam Pao, and continued at the Sala Bhirombhakdi in Lumpini Park in January. Each Sunday, audiences filled the grass, bringing food to share, mats and chairs, to enjoy music conducted by Dr Vanich Potavanich and Dr Nora-ath Chanklum, including Western pop culture, musicals, familiar Thai songs and classical music.
