RE: My Mom doesn't Like Farangs

By Anonymous, Created on: 07/12/2004, Last updated on: 19/09/2007

» Your mom is right baby. Most farangs could'nt be entrusted. They consider your country as a backyard brothel that should yield to all their queer demands and nature. They look for cheap sex and free service. Sex that act on the woman as if she were a sex tool that responds automatically without resistance....

    • Anonymous commented : Thai people, generally, have this strange racism where every white foreigner is expected to behave and think the same. I often get offered 'farang' food by people that cannot understand that I really hate KFC etc. It is hard for many Thais to understand the cultural differences between most European, American, Russian etc. countries but they are perfectly able to recognise the cultural.differences between Thai, Chinese, Japanese etc. I have also met many European, American, Russian etc. people that think all Asians are the same and cannot understand the differences. It is not really any different. There was one person in here recently that thought that a Thai might commit hari kiri if he was badly shamed

    America bashing at Esplanade Mall

By gohmer, Created on: 09/05/2010, Last updated on: 11/06/2011

» I putting this post up because it is related to international relationships with American citizens living and visiting Thailand. It illustrated to me that little is known about America by most people in Thailand, in fact, I think that few in the world truly understand what America is about and how...

    • zydeco commented : [quote="itsatucson":2cd1wcnx]It is quite likely that this current anti-American sentiment was encouraged by the Thai Government's calling a high official of the United States State Department on the carpet for sponsoring a breakfast last Saturday to which not only several Thai Government representatives were invited but also a leader of the Red Shirt demonstrators as well as a lawyer for former prime minister Thaksin. [/quote:2cd1wcnx] Of course. How dare anyone question the motives, intelligence, and manners of a high ranking envoy from the Dalaibama. Otherwise, rude T-shirts will spin out of thin air to appear in shopping malls in a matter of hours. Shopowners and average people will suddenly turn nasty, being nothing more than the unthinking puppets of a massive government conspiracy to create ill will towards money-laden American tourists and expats desperately searching for the next KFC.

    The S.L.P. Experience

» When Sergio Lorenzo Pizzorno came out with his first solo single, Favourites, back in June, we were pleasantly surprised. The song, an unlikely collaboration with UK rapper Little Simz, gave us an early glimpse into what could be expected from Pizzorno's solo project -- a whole lot of wacky swagger coated with a good amount of sonic experimentation. Listening to it closely, you can easily detect that indie impishness of his band Kasabian as well as the genre-hopping tendencies of Gorillaz. It's an impressive balancing act of breakbeat backdrop and funky basslines that sounds entirely new and familiar all at once.

    Put Thais before THAI

» I fully agree with Chartchai Parasuk in his June 18 article that "Thai Airways will require 100 billion baht to make up for past and future losses. Without an initial cash bailout, it is almost pointless to discuss business restructuring.
