Ericsson: Building 5G networks with precision

» The Thailand market is very dynamic with some of the most ICT-savvy consumers in the world. When it comes to 5G adoption, according to Ericsson estimates, data consumption per subscription in Thailand has grown to 32.7 GB/month in 2022 from 25 GB in 2021. This figure is expected to jump to nearly 80 GB/month in 2025. Enterprises in Thailand have also started to transform and digitalise their operations, as per the Government’s Industry 4.0 vision. Global 5G leader Ericsson shared that to support this massive and fast-growing data traffic in Thailand, whilst enabling Communications Service Providers to build efficient and sustainable mobile networks, it is critical to build 5G with precision and deploy the best energy performing solutions.

» Just two years ago, Thailand and Indonesia commemorated the 70th anniversary of relations, with both sides holding events to celebrate. Over the year, they mapped out various plans that would boost bilateral ties with the aim of establishing and hastening a "strategic partnership". These included strengthening political and economic relations, investment, as well as people-to-people exchanges. In particular, both countries would establish "High-Level Committees" in their law enforcement agencies, including the police and military, to counter common challenges such as narcotics, human trafficking and call centre scams. » In the past few weeks, there has been criticism of the Thai language textbook Pasa Patee for 5th graders. In the ninth chapter titled "Value Of Life", a rich girl named Yaibua tells her best friend Khaopoon, who is an orphan, that she wanted to die because her parents did not buy her a new mobile phone. Khaopoon took Yaibua to her orphanage where she experienced a meal of some rice, half a boiled egg and fish sauce. Everyone was happy and enjoyed the meal. This made Yaibua realise that happiness comes from a person's state of mind, not material possessions.
