    13 to watch

Life, Kong Rithdee, Published on 09/01/2015

» Dizzying. That's what it feels like to glance at the line-up of blockbusters and desirable titles slated for the next 12 months. This will be a very busy year at the cinemas with the intense parade of blockbusters, sequels, reboots and scavenged superheroes in search of redemption or glory — all the more reason for multiplex regulars to rejoice after a somewhat jaded 2014.

    Lenovo carbon freezes rivals

Life, Komsan John Jandamit, Published on 08/10/2014

» As a representative of a relatively young age group, we value speed and accessibility over functionality and security. You'll see an awful lot of young people who now use their mobile devices more than their PCs and notebooks. I see and know quite a few university students who prefer to use their mobile phones or tablet to do their classwork and consume media. Life, John Clewley, Published on 26/08/2014

» Piano master, producer and arranger, composer and songwriter Allen Toussaint has done more than most to promote the musical legacy of New Orleans. With his partner Marshall Sehorn, he set up the Sansu label which brought the focus back to the city after musicians moved away in the 1960s, and proceeded to write and record hundreds of songs for such artists as Irma Thomas, Dr. John, Lee Dorsey and Ernie K-Doe. Later, he developed the New Orleans funk sound with the Meters, Dr. John and the Wild Tchoupitoulas, while rock'n'roll and pop stars from the Rolling Stones to The Searchers, The Hollies, Robert Palmer and even The Who covered his songs. He's also had a stellar solo career as well.
