Linking urban life with earthly forces

Life, Suwitcha Chaiyong, Published on 27/01/2021

Two art exhibitions, "The Macro Movements Of Material I And II", present the concepts of four artists who use different materials rather than fundamental tools -- pencils, brushes, colours and canvases -- to convey their own concepts. While "The Macro Movements Of Material I" was displayed online for Art Central Hong Kong last year, the second edition is currently on show at Rosewood Bangkok Hotel. Life spoke to two of the four artists -- Weerapong Sansomporn and Thanathorn Suppakijjumnong -- about their works.

» The Bangkok metropolitan area has been in a state of continual change. Gravel roads turned to concrete. Large empty fields replaced with tall buildings and luxurious malls. Public transportation such as the BTS, MRT and buses have been extended to reach people in remote areas. And once friendly people with smiles, Thai people now prefer to look at their smartphone rather than paying attention to others.
