» In Architect-Jer (Architect View), Chatchavan Suwansawat shares stories about his architectural-based perspective and the things people see in everyday life such as a Chinese ancestral altar, a metal sliding door, and pots of plants. The book is a compilation of his writings for the online magazine The Cloud. Chatchavan came up with the idea of writing the column after he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Silpakorn University and participated in a writing camp arranged by Sarakadee Magazine.

» The uniqueness of street food stalls add a charm to Bangkok, and this is what inspired artist Kiettisak Moungkum to create art when he was an undergraduate student. However, as a graduate student at the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, he had to do field surveys of street vendors for his thesis and that's when he discovered the negative side of the business. As a result, Kiettisak's solo art exhibition, "Rules", reflects the problems of organising street vendors on pavements and public spaces.
Doing his duty

» In May 2014, artist Surajate Tongchua was in a bank to pay his bills when the military launched a coup. The artist felt numb realising that the country would be ruled by a military dictatorship again, so he decided to collect receipts from that day to document the negative effect of the coup. He believed his payments for VAT at the rate of 7% were used to support the junta government. After collecting his and his family members' receipts for several years, Surajate started developing his art collection "Priceless" in 2017, which is on view at the new art gallery Manycuts Artspace Ari.

» The aesthetic beauty of flowers is always a common theme in paintings but artist Praiya Ketkool prefers to depict grass and weeds, which are overlooked by most people. It all began when Praiya visited her grandmother in Chachoengsao during a school break and was riding her bicycle past stunning, flowering grass. She became so captivated by the scene that she decided she would return to capture photos of the gorgeous spread of grass flowers she had witnessed. Unfortunately, when she returned to the same spot the next day, all the flowers had been destroyed. Farmers had decided to get rid of them as the weeds were stealing nutrients away from their crops.

» Funny photos taken at supermarkets and convenience stores across Thailand were circulated on New Year's Day, showing customers carrying unusual containers like a construction cart, a cement bag, a plastic bucket and even a stainless-steel cooking pot to use as substitutes for plastic bags.
