» Back in Singapore, Paradise Dynasty resembles a dark lavish cave, with lots of black marble and velvet too, and, honestly, food that didn't really taste that great. Except for the legendary signature Dynasty dumplings, the dishes in the food court probably taste better than the offerings there. And fried rice, but if you can't master fried rice then, well, reconsider your existence.

» The legendary forest conservationist Seub Nakhasathien was known for his unstinting efforts to save and protect wildlife in Huay Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, which was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) in 1991 and is spread over Kanchanaburi, Tak and Uthai Thani provinces. His suicide from stress over failing to save wild animals 22 years ago shocked Thailand, but his good name and crusade remain in the hearts of many today.

» As I was listening to the presidential debate back on Oct3, I knew Mitt Romney was going to have it bad when he pledged to cut federal funding for public broadcasting. Oh yes, fans of the cuddly creatures from Sesame Street and other shows on PBS, such as documentaries, are sure to start their hate parade. In fact, there is actually going to be one on Nov 3, called the Million Muppet March, when protesters will gather at the National Mall in Washington, DC, to defend PBS and Sesame Street.
