Chinese conspiracy?

News, Postbag, Published on 28/10/2019

» Barry Kenyon is right in pointing out the ridiculously bureaucratic and seemingly hostile attitude of Thailand's immigration authorities which is making the kingdom a far less welcoming destination for Western retirees and tourists alike, but he is completely wrong when he says that in Myanmar "nobody has heard of the TM30"!

Morally untenable

Oped, Postbag, Published on 26/10/2019

» Re: “Not child’s play”, (PostBag, Oct 25). Unfortunately, in his efforts to defend the indefensible, Vint Chavala falls into a common corruption of those whose position is intellectually and morally untenable. Oblivious army

News, Postbag, Published on 27/09/2019

» According to the latest UN report on rising sea levels, Bangkok is one of the cities that will be experiencing yearly floods 30 years from now. If the military was really serious about protecting the country, they would be using their budget to move their more vulnerable installations to higher ground and buying equipment to combat floods instead of the attack helicopters, missiles and rockets that army commander Gen Apirat Kongsompong wants.
