Morally untenable

Oped, Postbag, Published on 26/10/2019

» Re: “Not child’s play”, (PostBag, Oct 25). Unfortunately, in his efforts to defend the indefensible, Vint Chavala falls into a common corruption of those whose position is intellectually and morally untenable. » Re: “Court to rule on PM’s eligibility”, (BP, July 6). While Jade Donavanik, the former adviser to the Constitution Drafting Committee’s comments that “the Constitutional Court ruling will be binding”, ring true, it is important to remember that such a legal precedent is subject to the caveat that applies to all laws: Merely being legal confers neither rightness nor justice.

Democratic justice

News, Postbag, Published on 13/04/2019

» I wish to thank the 12 diplomats and their respective democratic countries for finally supporting the Thai people. Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai's comment, "It's an intervention in our justice system" is a joke. Without a truly democratically elected government there is no justice.
