» Four years ago, Boonyuen Siritham, president of the Thailand Consumers Council (TCC), paid around 17,000 baht to 18,000 baht monthly in petrol and electricity bills. As an environmentalist, she aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and cut her expenses so she decided to install a solar rooftop and switched to an electric car. Since then, she pays only 2,500 baht per month for electricity.

» The Office of Art and Culture (OAC) at Chulalongkorn University is currently showcasing a rare collection of 24 deity paintings which are approximately 196 years old. The paintings at the exhibition "Tom Tong Mien: An Exhibition Of The Yao Ceremonial Painting" were created by Chen Guei Li, a painter during the reign of Emperor Dao Guang of the Qing Dynasty, and offer a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of the Yao/Iu Mien people.

» Recently, Mai*, an 18-year-old part-time male employee at a private hospital, became a victim of sexual assault. The incident occurred around 1am after a foreigner asked Mai for directions to the restroom. Mai helped the foreigner and then headed for the same restroom. Unfortunately, Mai was subjected to a non-consensual sexual act there. He told reporters that he cried for help, but nobody heard.
