Healthcare fee cap drive a wake-up call

» Should private hospitals be free from price regulations? That’s the question many people are asking after a series of incidents where several private hospitals were allegedly overcharging their patients. The hospitals responded by saying they have to charge higher fees than state hospitals because they do not receive government subsidies. The Private Hospitals Association said they have to charge at least twice as much as public hospitals because they are responsible for their own operational expenses.
