Cabinet approves extension of deposit protection up to a maximum of 5 million baht for another year

» Mr. Songpol Chevapanyaroj, President of the Deposit Protection Agency, unveiled that the Cabinet, in its meeting on 7 April 2020, approved a one-year extension of deposit protection up to a maximum of 5 million baht. The original date for concluding the protection was 10 August 2020, so the extension is until 10 August 2021. From 11 August 2021, the protection will cover deposits up to 1 million baht.
