» Sri Lanka's famed Ministry Of Crab has quite a following. Small wonder when it's been on Asia's 50 Best Restaurant list since 2015 (No.35 in 2019). It's fair to say, they take crab pretty seriously there. Indeed, Ministry of Crab has its own constitution with eight "amendments" paying homage to Sri Lanka's iconic lagoon crab.

Paddling through seafood

» The House on Sathorn has a new dining room and it's an ode to Thai seafood. Paii, a Thai word meaning "to paddle", is a casual dining space showcasing the best of local and imported seafood. The restaurant pays homage to the founder of The House On Sathorn, Luang Sathorn Rajayutka, who also created the Sathon canal.

» A familiar pok-pok sound greets me as I enter the newly-renovated Charoen Krung favourite, 80/20. This is intentional, I later learn, intended to remind diners that 80/20 is a Thai kitchen serving Thai cuisine. The expanded space has a wall with murals by local artist Luke Satoru and Khun Rose, the mother of one of 80/20's chefs.
