» It has been an uncomfortable several months for internet users the Kingdom over, as the government released the drafts of its eight new digital-related bills. The bills immediately became the source of much controversy, as many critics and pundits criticised the new regulations and laws included in the drafts to be a step back into the days before the 1997 media reforms, giving government agencies absolute control over the surveillance, management and oversight of digital data.

» For a machine with a 6th Generation Intel dual-core i7 processor and 8GB RAM running on Windows 10, the HP Envy Notebook never quite managed to leave much of an impression on me. Despite its impressive specs, comfortable keyboard and sleek design, I still found using the notebook to be merely satisfactory at best, with enough performance glitches to hold it back from being an immediate recommendation. Those of you looking for a light, serviceable laptop computer for working on the go could find a lot to like in the machine, provided you can stomach the relatively hefty price.

Highs and lows of a hybrid device

» HP's Pavilion X2 laptop-tablet hybrid leaves much to be desired. It doesn't have the best screen resolution, nor is its performance as quick and snappy as I hoped it would be. The cramped keyboard makes typing mildly frustrating from time to time. That said, the device is also one of the cheapest devices running on Windows 10 right now, and is at least usable for simple tasks like working on documents (I'm actually typing this on the device). If you're looking for a versatile, portable device for working remotely or for consuming media such as music or videos, there are plenty of worse choices to go with than the Pavilion X2.
Perfectly impractical

» When it comes to smartphones, Sony is hardly considered among the "big boys" of the industry like Samsung or Apple. Approaching Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z5 Premium, I was sceptical at first. While the newest model in Sony's Xperia line proves to be a huge step in the right direction -- with an impressive 23MP back camera, 5.5-inch 4K resolution display and even workable water, plus fall-proof technology -- there are still plenty of caveats to the device that holds it back from standing toe-to-toe with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S line or Apple's iPhones, despite the similar price tag.
