We often hear Lord Chief Justice Hewart’s wise words: “It is not merely of some importance but is of fundamental importance that justice should not only be done, but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done.” If we see justice done, all can be assured that we have rule of law, applied equally to all alike, regardless of station — and behave accordingly.
