Business fights and disabled rights

Life, Yvonne Bohwongprasert, Published on 29/01/2016

» A labour report last week stating that more than 40 local firms were being taken to task by the law for declining to assist the disabled got me concerned over the lack of empathy some entrepreneurs have towards one of the most marginalised groups in society. The report went on to say assets of 44 companies could be foreclosed and sold to raise money, which would go into the Disabled Works Fund because the businesses in question refused to contribute to the fund, set up to raise the quality of life of the disabled in Thailand. The firms were warned to pay up but refused.
