» The Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced former chief ombudsman Teeradej Meepian to two years in jail, suspended for two years, for wrongfully awarding himself and his immediate staff monthly meeting allowances while he was in office. He was immediately disqualified from his current position as senate speaker.
