» Chengdu Shu Brocade and Embroidery Museum showcases the best brocades in China. Guide Yan Hua walked me into a room where two people were busy working on a loom. It is no ordinary loom. The greater draw loom is 6m long, 5m high and 1.5m wide. A man working on the loom concentrated hard as he pulled the harnesses. A woman at the base of the machine inserted shuttles and beat the weft threads.

» After lunch, I parked my car at Vana Nava Hua Hin water park, a new attraction in the beachside city. Glad to see the parking lot was only half full, I hoped to roam around easily and enjoy the exciting water slides.
