» Since opening Artist + Run in Bangkok, Angkrit Ajchariyasophon's curatorial work has somewhat supplanted his artistic practice. But the day-to-day management of his busy gallery on Narathiwas 22 and off-site exhibitions hasn't kept him from producing new works, which have been exhibited in Thailand and abroad.

» Nestled on the ground floor of a condominium complex in Pathum Thani, Condo Art Space is among newly opened venues for the production and exhibition of contemporary art in the greater Bangkok area. Just in time for the Bangkok Biennial, of which it is a pavilion, the apartment-turned-studio-turned-gallery was founded by four fine arts students at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi between the ages of 21 and 26.

» 'Sex and bombs, all you need is sex and bombs to make the world go round," says veteran Thai artist Vasan Sitthiket, commenting on a 2011 painting from his "Sex Bomb: 24 Hours" series -- a portrait of himself drawn atop a scantily clad woman's body in a seductive pose, a bombshell by his side. Although the series is a denunciation of the modern pornography -- money, power and lies -- that we are fed on a daily basis, there's more to Vasan's work than just lust and violence.
