I wonder if the Prime Minister has any prerogative power such as power to declare war, making international treaty like Prime Minister in United Kingdom. Because in United Kingdom, these are all royal prerogative that are belonged to the Queen but now being exercised by the Executive. And I wonder if the dissolution of Parliament lie in the hand of Prime Minister and is there any checks and balance? Thank you.[/quote:o4bad2cn] Suggest you search and find out the answers for yourself. Search the internet. You can find some good information there. Just don't believe everything you read and when in doubt, check multiple sources and try to make your own close conclusion to your questions. You'd be crazy to believe what you read on forums from the people who come across as experts in Thai history and politics.

It illustrated to me that little is known about America by most people in Thailand, in fact, I think that few in the world truly understand what America is about and how...

    • oilyrag commented : America, the land of the free and home of the brave, almost weekly we hear of mass shootings at schools, malls etc in the USA. I was born in UK and have seen many "offensive" T shirts making fun of the Queen and the royal family( lets not even mention the Duchess of York!) It really does not bother me at all so why should it offend or "special friends" if the US flag is used in the way described. We do not have to jump when an American is "offended" I would suggest he does not come to to Thailand but stays at home.
