Three ways Halloween is like real life

Guru, Sumati Sivasiamphai, Published on 26/10/2012

» Halloween is almost upon us again (Oct 31). Yes, that means that my lame self will probably just sit at home eating all the candy that I'm supposed to be handing out to trick-or-treating kids (and I'll love every cavity-producing second of it).

» Take a moment to remember how good you feel right now. Isn't it great to have a head that's not pounding, eyes that aren't bloodshot, and not to worry about any drunk dials you made? Alas, that's all about to be a distant memory as the weekend is upon us again. May the force (and your liver) be with you.

    Welcome to the quarter-life crisis

Guru, Sumati Sivasiamphai, Published on 11/05/2012

» I know you imagine me to be the sort of suave girl who turns heads everywhere she goes, with legs so long they stretch from Thong Lor to Mor Chit, and a smile that could light up Sukhumvit when the power goes out during a rainstorm. Yes, on the surface it seems I'm one big walking eye-gasm who has her shiz together. But the truth is...

    Infiltrating a roadside sex stall

Guru, Sumati Sivasiamphai, Published on 23/03/2012

» I recently spent a lovely evening strolling through Soi Nasty, which runs parallel to Everything Decent Comes Here to Die Street. I'm sure you guys are familiar with this area, as it's the perfect place to have a blessed family outing, propose marriage to your beloved, or reach enlightenment. In this culturally enriching district friendly strangers yell out to you, polite men grab your hand, generous women offer themselves like sacrificial lambs, and some motorcyclists even swerve to avoid making sidewalk squash out of you.

    Why doesn't anyone get fired?

Guru, Sumati Sivasiamphai, Published on 27/01/2012

» Spending my days sunning myself aboard my luxury yacht, while dictating these words to my personal manservant is extremely hard work. Trust me, completing arduous tasks like napping, sitting upright and breathing is no easy feat. And don't even get me started on finding good help these days - doesn't everyone know they're supposed to peel the skin off grapes before feeding them to me?
