    • drake commented : n industrialized economy like Taiwan, Korea, or Singapore. What kind of practical infrastructure would be needed and what kind of [i:1wadzho8]activities[/i:1wadzho8] are required. It's a pipe dream but if we provide the visions someone might get ideas. Got to start somewhere, right ?

    • banmebkk commented : overnment. You can read about Taiwan Semiconductor Factory online. The only way Thailand might have one will be due to foreign investment from either a Taiwanese or Korean company. In order to be able to support such a facility, the management personnel will need a high level of education. Sadly Thailand only has a handful of talent that can manage this type of factory, not to mention the workers. This is why those factories are still in Taiwan, South Korea, China, and other first world countries (yes, China is not first world but its go the skills and brains). Companies in this field don't necessary benefit from the low wages that Thailand has to offer, skills and education comes first.

    • ipsut commented : ng or old back home ( I'm in Taiwan ) that remain silent as our govenment invades another country are resposible for the sterotyping of us by others. You said that our current wars were not instigated by "your" generation. True, but then they never are. They are started by old men ( fact,), which are then supported by the silence of most of those young that fight them. I sure do not loath my country, but do understand when others are not appreciative of our "help" such as when our govenment had an official meet with a red shirt leader a few days ago. I do not think the meeting had the approval of the Thai govenment.
