With only one year of in-the-field experience, Heckels took home Silver and Bronze recognition in Better Photography's Photograph of the Year 2015 competition and was shortlisted in the "People" category of B+W Magazine's Black & White Photographer of the Year awards. We outlined both the civil and criminal laws that govern medical malpractice lawsuits, and the possible compensation one could receive depending on the injury suffered.
