A creative plan to restore the glory of Khon Kaen's business district

Life, Thana Boonlert, Published on 01/06/2023

Mass ordination in Mae Hong Son

Life, Pichaya Svasti, Published on 26/03/2015

» The annual Poi Sang Long mass novice ordination ceremony will be performed at various temples in Mae Hong Son province until April 11. This ceremony began centuries ago due to the Tai people's strong faith in Buddhism. The Tais believed that their sons would gain great merit if ordained as Buddhist novices in this ceremony. The ceremony replicates the moment when the Lord Buddha ordained his only son Rahul as a novice, despite the his request for the throne.
