Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 26/05/2017

» These days, there is no shortage of pointers that can direct you to the right eatery should your stomach start rumbling at whichever hour. Food pictures deluge the internet thanks to the torrent of food bloggers who make a living from "reviewing" restaurants and cafés.

Expanding borders

» The mention of Ladurée conjures up pastel-tinted dreams of magnificent macarons and dainty desserts all in a Rococo fairy tale ambience. Men who need a real meal may dismiss it as a French bonbon, but be reluctant no more -- the tearoom has just recently celebrated its launch of a dining menu, with savoury delicacies that will fill you up the way a proper meal should. For an establishment better known for their sweets, Ladurée Salon De Thé offers quite a few surprises up its lacy sleeves: this being an immensely fresh produce and influences beyond French fare touching on some dishes.

» It's a continuous run on the treadmill for art collectors and design devotees when the art fair season kicks off in January. March is undoubtedly a peak period, with exhibitions going on every weekend. The most prominent one in Asia, Art Basel Hong Kong, something of a high-end art supermarket, wrapped up on Tuesday. The fair saw over 3,000 artists around the world touch down at the gateway to Asia for the third year to beguile the moneyed and style-savvy art connoisseurs.

You can always go Downton

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 15/01/2015

» On Monday, Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey fame won her first Golden Globe for best supporting actress in a series. I started to squeal, scream, cry and do a victory dance in my head as if I had just won the award myself. Breaking the nation's moral bankruptcy

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 26/02/2013

» Not everyone is cut out to become a fascinating, world-changing leader who gets interviewed by The New York Times, but that doesn't mean they don't bring anything to the table. I know I am just another person, but I try to be more than a lump who changes oxygen into carbon dioxide. With that said, I want to offer the reader something of value, rather than taking the easy way out and ranting about getting bitten by a dog the other day.

Reel Nostalgic

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 23/11/2012

» It's a toy, but at least it's one that you can actually use to make a living. The Viewmaster has been around in the US since 1938 and has remained popular throughout the decades. Whilst it is no longer a ravishing hit today, its timelessness transcends borders and has been recently sending waves of nostalgia to Thailand. Of course we don't expect you to find pleasure in looking at reels of SpongeBob or Finding Nemo, so there is a catch to what's so special about Viewmaster Thailand.
