I fully agree and call on him to be a role model in being such a leader. Thus, he should not only be corruption-free himself but also committed to eradicating corruption.

However, he does not name any others apart from Thaksin Shinawatra, nor does he give us the faintest clue why Mr Thanathorn personally should be regarded as "poisonous".

» Let's briefly consider local geopolitics and the Thai military. Thailand needs China like it needs another coup. However, China needs Thailand for a variety of reasons. The US has had a longstanding favourable relationship with Thailand and is its most powerful ally.
