» Interest in extraterrestrial things (and beings) make a comeback to the Thai collective consciousness, thanks to asteroid 2006 QQ23 flying by and a viral video in which a local man, who claims to be a medium of Pluto God, warns humanity of 2020 doomsday in an alien tongue. This got us thinking about the local interest in UFOs and aliens, and how Thailand is linked to alien stories in a way that you may not be aware of. We aren't saying we believe in Pluto God or trying to convince you one way or another but there are many pieces of evidence (of varying degrees of credibility) of alleged alien visits to the Land Of Smiles and they are too fascinating not to share.

Not only guests are referred to by the hospitable staff as khun than (a politer form of khun) but also be treated to other perks during their stay. You should definitely be spending a lot of time there during your stay as you can reap many benefits from it. » We first interviewed Peerapat "Add" Wimolrungkarat because of his unique job as personal photographer for Abhisit Vejjajiva while he was the 27th prime minister of Thailand many moons ago. Since then Add has gone on to become the photo editor of The Momentum and The Standard news websites and since 2017, has worked as the photographer for Isra Sunthornvut, secretary-general of Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. Recently he was chosen as a finalist in StreetFoto San Francisco 2019 Contest and his works, along with four Bangkok-based photographers, will be exhibited from June 3-9. Also a Leica ambassador since 2016, he is holding the “Sense Of Place” exhibition, which runs until Jun 16 at Leica Gallery Bangkok.

» This year saw finalists from Southeast Asia, South Korea, India, Australia and China perform at Aloft Seoul Myeongdong on Sep 20. Hanita Bhambri delivered a powerful performance of Let Me Go and is this year's winner. Through Aloft's partnership with Universal Music Group, she gets a music video and a digital release of her single to kick start her career. Although Nontree "Nate" Paitoonvongvira, who represented SEA, didn't win, he wowed the audience with a catchy performance so much that we want (you) to get to know him. You may remember him performing a jazz rendition of Britney Spears' Toxic on The Voice but there's more to this singer/interior designer.
