The markets have been operating in plain sight for years, with customers jamming streets with parked cars. BMA governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang is to be praised for quickly checking on the Prawet markets and vowing to review all 364 markets in Bangkok.

» This morning, I learned the street vendors working on Phahon Yothin near Soi 8 have been ordered to move out by the end of this month.
