» Police action in the first week after the horrific Koh Tao tourist murders reveals old problems that are getting worse. Since the battered bodies of Hannah Witheridge from Norfolk and David Miller from Jersey were found, police have made obvious and serious errors by the day. The errors have subjected victims' families and friends to needless suffering. But the Royal Thai Police from the lower ranks to headquarters have pandered shamelessly to a voracious media. When the subject of police reform comes before the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) committees in the near future, this case should be Bad Example No.1.
