» The week began promisingly with lots of dignitaries wobbling about on bicycles, which is always good value for money. There is something absurdly comical about seeing people on bikes who are clearly more used to four wheels. Perhaps tricycles could be arranged for those with balance problems. In some cases the bikes appeared state-of-the-art, which means not exactly cheap. One hopes these bikes experience regular outings and don’t end up rusting away in the garage.
