Pride Month is for everyone

Asia focus, Nareerat Wiriyapong, Published on 13/06/2022

» June marks LGBTQI Pride Month, celebrating people who are "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex". I think most of us agree with US President Joe Biden's declaration that LGBTQI people are loved and cherished, and they deserve "dignity, respect and support".

Standing up to hate speech

Asia focus, Nareerat Wiriyapong, Published on 06/07/2020

» As a regular social media user, I find it annoying whenever I scroll through my Facebook account to find many ads that aren't relevant to my interests. » Figures from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad) show that foreign direct investment (FDI) to Asean fell by 8% last year to US$120 billion. Declines in FDI in services, cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and lower intra-company loans were the major reasons behind the drop.

Give us a sporting chance

Asia focus, Nareerat Wiriyapong, Published on 22/08/2016

» Watching sports is my sport. Growing up in a family with two brothers and no sisters, I became a female football enthusiast. I also like watching tennis, volleyball and sepak takraw, partly because they are sports in which Thai teams and players have achieved international fame. We are proud of them and gratefully appreciate their hard work.
