» 1:Galerie Oasis Bangkok's newest art venue, located above Cinema Oasis (Sukhumvit 43) will be launching today with Piyatat Hemmatat's Eden Part II: An Exhibition Of Bronze Sculptures & Photographs. In continuation of "Eden, Part I", in Charoen Krung's Serindia Gallery, the photographer and contemporary artist explores the concept and idea of banned substances through 3D bronze sculptures. Recreating his own Garden of Eden, Piyatat has moulded Biblical serpents that turn into enticing hands and eyeballs, sprouting serpent hearts, and many more creatures that comprise the mythology of this era. » 1. A treat for coffee lovers, Krispy Kreme is rolling out three limited-edition coffee-flavoured varieties only until the end of August. First, the Salted Caramel Latte Doughnut is a shell doughnut filled with rich espresso kreme, coated with salted caramel and sprinkled with crème brûlée flakes. Second flavour is the Vanilla Latte Doughnut, filled with vanilla latte cream and coated with rich espresso and vanilla cream and sprinkled on top with espresso flavoured icing and vanilla latte toppings. Last but not least, the Mocha Kreme Doughnut is filled with Mocha cream, coated with white chocolate and drizzled with espresso topping. At only 35 baht a piece, get Krispy Kreme's Coffeehouse Doughnuts at any participating branch (except Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports).

» After six months or so of closure, the revamped cycling track around Suvarnabhumi International Airport was officially reopened last Saturday. Renamed the "Sky Lane", this collaboration between the Airport of Thailand (AOT) and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has been greatly welcomed by Bangkok's cycling community. The return of this bike track to the short list of places where residents of the capital can train or enjoy leisurely rides without the risk of becoming roadkill is definitely one of this year's best bit of good news.
