Justice undermined

News, Postbag, Published on 10/10/2019

» Issue should be taken with Khun Dusit Thammaraks' ill-informed assertion in his Oct 8 letter, "Just doing his job", that the 12 panelists charged for their participation in the forum in Pattani province on Sept 28 would have to "prove without doubt that they had no intention to break the law".

News, Postbag, Published on 08/08/2019

News, Postbag, Published on 08/06/2019

Look up the effect of corruption on Google and immediately you will find that politicians, police and the judiciary are the institutions named as most affected. I have watched with disbelief as politicians, wealthy individuals and military leaders have broken laws, engaged in illegal activities and even caused deaths without any repercussions for their actions.

Global warning

News, Postbag, Published on 25/05/2019

» I heard some Thai youth were due to protest older people's inaction in this country on global warming yesterday in Bangkok. Given the horrors that await them if little or nothing is done by our leaders, I hope they are successful in getting some action from people who seem totally oblivious to the problem, or are too old or inflexible to care.
