» On Aug 11, the People's Bank of China (PBOC) undertook the largest single-day devaluation in 20 years by pushing down the value of the yuan by 1.9% against the US dollar. At that point, Beijing assured nervous global markets that it was satisfied with the new rate around 6.4 to the dollar and would aim for "stability" going forward.
