Instead of opting to become despondent over the incident, the Nepali people seem to have banded together to survive the ordeal in a rather gallant manner. The disaster maimed, killed and left thousands homeless. Through the misfortune, however, locals have united, putting their neighbours' needs before their own. This is what I experienced during a recent trip to Nepal, home to Mount Everest.
