Bad business at BTS

News, Postbag, Published on 17/11/2015

» On Nov 15 at 8.30am, as I exited BTS Asoke on my way to church, a woman yelled at me, “Are you Thai?” When I replied no, she demanded to see my passport. I showed her my Thai driving licence, as I do not carry my passport with me. She then rudely snatched my BTS ticket from my hand. I tried to get it back and she called security and a supervisor.

Questionable law

News, Postbag, Published on 12/11/2015

» Well done to Sanitsuda Ekachai (Opinion, Nov 11) for boldly asking questions about the suspicious detention deaths of two people accused of lese majeste. Border control is vital

News, Postbag, Published on 30/08/2015

» I fully agree with Nigel Pike's sentiments, "Be wary of invaders", (BP Aug 29). I too have learned to greatly respect Thailand's immigration control, protecting its borders. A nation without borders has no sovereignty as we witness in Europe. All 28 European Union member states have lost their sovereignty because they joined the EU.
