» Recognised for his print artwork inspired by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, artist Kraisak Chirachaisakul felt lost after the passing of the monarch. However, despite feeling empty inside for two years, the artist became enthusiastic about creating art again when he met a Russian model, Anastasia Maslova, at an art gallery. Maslova became his muse for the 2020 exhibition "Venus Resurrection" at River City Bangkok and also his latest printmaking exhibition "Friends" at Kalwit Gallery. "Friends" displays 12 drypoint printmaking artworks and one oil painting inspired by Maslova and her friend Eve Parker.

Life, Suwitcha Chaiyong, Published on 27/01/2021

» People always connect with nature but after they invent new creations, they become connected to their own creations as well. Two art exhibitions, "The Macro Movements Of Material I And II", present the concepts of four artists who use different materials rather than fundamental tools -- pencils, brushes, colours and canvases -- to convey their own concepts. While "The Macro Movements Of Material I" was displayed online for Art Central Hong Kong last year, the second edition is currently on show at Rosewood Bangkok Hotel. Life spoke to two of the four artists -- Weerapong Sansomporn and Thanathorn Suppakijjumnong -- about their works.

The exhibition "M3ZZOTINT" features mezzotint art pieces made by three artists from the Chirachaisakul family at RCB Galleria 2, 2nd Floor, River City Bangkok, until Dec 14. Three artists reflect how they feel about things around them through their artworks.
