Not only guests are referred to by the hospitable staff as khun than (a politer form of khun) but also be treated to other perks during their stay. If you stay in a suite and higher type, you'll be greeted by a GRO, that is guest relations officer, who will accompany you to the 37th floor where Dara Club Lounge is located. You should definitely be spending a lot of time there during your stay as you can reap many benefits from it. » What's in a name? The SIS Kata -- a new resort by the Aksara Collection which also operates Kata Sea Breeze Resort and Patra Mansion -- had its official launch in June. SIS stands for stay in style and it just so happens that the three Pattaravoranee sisters, all of whom are execs and heirs of the Aksara empire, opened this property with the aim of attracting younger (and apparently selfie-centred) crowds.

» Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa manages to blend in with its green surrounding and yet also sprouts an air of chicness. The vast and airy lobby building which has turtle-shell roofs and understated art pieces looks out onto a beautiful pond and, from a distance, villas amid lush greenery to block prying eyes. On our way to a low-rise building where our Deluxe Rooms were waiting, we walked past white sands, lush bushes and palm trees.
