» Like all ruling political parties, Pheu Thai has the upper hand in launching initiative after initiative. It doesn't matter how idiotic it might seem to us. In the same vein, Pheu Thai often comes up with streams of ideas which they claim to be culled for the greater good and the voting public. But reality often proves otherwise.

» Thai authorities are very good at wasting taxpayers' money. Even setting aside the ongoing diabolical corruption, our governments - past, present and future - have a knack of spending our hard earned cash in the most nonsensical manner. Elite cards? Bangkok Fashion City? Tablets? Fake CCTV cameras? The litany goes on.

» Thanks to my upbringing, I've never been a mall rat. I don't find the prospects of wading through all sorts of people to get a glimpse of whatever dreams they're selling all that appealing. As much as I like buying rubbish I don't need, I tend to know exactly what I want, and order online.
