Six in One

Guru, Pornchai Sereemongkonpol, Published on 28/04/2017

» The setting: You know what's better than one good restaurant? The answer is six of them being put together in one space! The recently-opened My Kitchen at Siam Discovery may look like your average food court, but on close inspection, you'll realise it's an all-star kitchen collaboration between six notable names. They are Man Fu Yuan, Cafe Chilli, Nara, Kuppadeli, Yuzu by Yuutaro and Brix Dessert Bar, bringing different cuisines and appeals into this 1,000sqm space.

Don't despair, dear readers. I'm here to tell you that you're not alone and that we can commiserate with each other in a light-hearted manner. Because, you know, a problem shared is a problem halved. Here are seven struggles only Bangkokians understand.

» It's okay to be a kid every now and then. By that, we don't mean asking your parents for permission to go out, throwing a tantrum when you don't get what you want or picking your nose and eating the booger either. Eww.

» The Setting: At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, I've been following Jamie Oliver, the culinary celebrity, for years, albeit vicariously through his cookbooks, TV shows and FoodTube channel.
