When you're free to move about the country

» It's going to be a while before we find out whether or not the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures, the mass scrambles for alcoholic beverages, and the exodus over the recent long weekend will reverse the trend of the pandemic control in Thailand that seems to be going well. Pedalling back in time

Life, Pongpet Mekloy, Published on 07/09/2017

» The coastal town of Sichon is 60km north of downtown Nakhon Si Thammarat. The first time I heard this name was 35 years ago when I was 14. » Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year, is the time Thais living and working in all parts of the country return to their hometowns to reunite with their families. This year, the festival reminds me of a special place where family members not only can spend quality time together but also learn more about the country's history as well as its diverse cultural heritage. More than that, it's one of the best places to enjoy a leisurely bike ride.
