Twinkling stars

Then, time after time, substances that are known as primordial minerals -- what make up the stellar bodies -- are believed to have travelled to the Earth in the form of meteorites. One of the minerals was carbonado, or black diamond, a type of diamond speculated to hail from space.

» On Monday, an unmarried celebrity couple who we normally wouldn't care much about officially opened up to the press after it had been brought to light that they are having a baby. Holding each other tight in front of a squad of tabloid reporters who looked nothing but happy to be there to get a piece of them, the couple confirmed that they are blessed and ready to do whatever it takes to become good parents. However, something was amiss. The couple also happened to be apologising for having the baby.

Staying alive

» Last month, Juan Francisco Guillermo, a Chilean cyclist on a 250,000km, around-the-world journey, was killed after being hit by a pickup truck in Nakhon Ratchasima province. One week after the tragedy, members of the Thai Cyclists Network got together in front of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre for a commemorative ceremony. The event saw participants playing dead on the ground to raise public awareness of road safety and the risks faced by cyclists.
