» The seaside town of Phetchaburi was recognised as a creative city of gastronomy in 2021 and as a result the Phra Nakhon Khiri Festival provides an opportunity for visitors to discover the local culinary scene, history and charming heritage all in one place. This year, the festival returns for its 37th edition and continues until Saturday.

» During a morning stroll through vast salt fields in the seaside town of Samut Sakhon, I couldn't resist but take breathtaking photos of a large flock of birds. Close by, experienced birdwatcher Suchart Daengpayon (also known as Mr Tee) led a small group of foreign tourists on a trip to see the food-seeking behaviours of the spoon-billed sandpiper, an endangered shorebird species.

» When the temperature dropped below 20C recently, South Korea was in its full autumn foliage season, which gives rise to visually stunning natural scenes. As our bus set out to Museum San, which is located in the town of Gyeonggi, I noticed that the trees had started to drop their leaves in preparation for winter, resulting in vibrantly yellow, red and orange hues on both sides of the winding hilly roads.

A whirlwind tour of Bali

» Since Bali is renowned for its beautiful beaches, upon arriving, our group, consisting of BWH Hotels executives and media representatives, headed straight to view the picturesque sunset at Jimbaran Beach. The beach was scenic with crystal-clear seawater and silky sand. In addition to people strolling along the shore, I observed two cute puppies tirelessly scampering back and forth from the beach to the sea. After capturing many photos of the sunset, we had dinner at a restaurant called Melati Bali, located right by the beach. The seafood was fresh and delectable. The coconut water was bit disappointing because in spite of its impressive size, it was very bland.

» We were mesmerised by vast lush paddy fields on either side of the road where equestrians expertly rode their horses as we gazed out of our van en route to Suphan Buri. However, ancient temples and historical ruins remain powerful attractions for travellers to discover Thailand's rich history and fascinating cultural heritage.

» Gentle winter breezes welcome early risers as a row of motorboats navigate through a spiral course of waterways on the 25,500 rai Nong Han Lake, which is shrouded in a sea of mist. When the sky becomes orange and the Sun shines brightly, a magnificent scene of buoyant pink water lilies that spread as far as the eye can see takes our breath away.
