Temple gets Unesco award

» The restoration of the principal stupa in Prayurawongsawas Worawihan temple (or Wat Prayun) in Bangkok has been honoured with the Award of Excellence in the 2013 Unesco Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation. The temple, located in Thon Buri near the Memorial Bridge, was selected more than 47 entries from 16 countries across the Asia-Pacific.
