A tour of Japan at home

» Located in Japan's Chiba Prefecture, Sawara is a beautiful small town, only 70km away from the capital Tokyo. The town is renowned for its historical architecture from the Edo Period (1603–1868) and two traditional festivals -- the Sawara Hina Festival and Sawara Grand festival. Recently, scenic views of the town in photographs on facebook.com/wonder.sawara -- created to promote the town of Sawara among Thai tourists -- caught the eye of watercolourist Chatchai Thammaphirome, aka AnimaToey, and inspired him to paint.

» Back in the day when Dr Rungsrit Kanjanavanit was a high school student, his sister handed him a telescope so he could take a closer look at a flock of birds jumping on a Jamaican cherry. Through the telescope, the vivid colours of red and yellow scarlet minivets and golden fronted leafbirds mesmerised him. Ever since then, he has been attracted to feathered creatures and has become an avid birdwatcher.

» Olran "Wanyai" Chujai was one of the busiest singers in town with a tightly packed schedule. This busy schedule led to meeting singer Nichaphat "Praewa" Chatchaipholrat, who soon after tested positive for Covid-19. Though a test confirmed that Wanyai did not contract the virus, he had to undergo a second test soon after taking a photograph with a fan who later posted online about her positive test result. Fortunately, Wanyai is still negative.
