» Re: "Debating democracy", PostBag July 7. Burin makes excellent points about democracy and free speech. One of the pillars of democracy is free speech. Most Western countries and their governments see it as the foundation of a civilised society. Many governments and regimes around the world are struggling with how free speech should be allowed.
