For the first time, an action by the Anti-Corruption Organisation of Thailand (ACT) has had a dramatic effect. Sorrayuth, convicted of fraud, has now vacated his role of news anchor on his Channel 3 broadcasts. Prior to this, the ACT had been innocuous in its efforts to chip away at ingrained corruption. This should encourage it to step up and become more active.
