    News, Editorial, Published on 27/08/2018

» Almost from the moment they seized power, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and allies in the National Council for Peace and Order have spent time and treasure promoting their vision of the future. The two top meme titles are "Thailand 4.0" and "Digital Thailand". As defined, both are excellent and worthy goals. News, Brahma Chellaney, Published on 27/08/2018

» Asia's future is inextricably tied to the Himalayas, the world's tallest mountain range and the source of the water-stressed continent's major river systems. Yet reckless national projects are straining the region's fragile ecosystems, resulting in a mounting security threat that extends beyond Asia.

Are emerging markets ready for a financial crisis?

News, Satyajit Das, Published on 27/08/2018

» Over the past decade, a lot of capital has flowed into emerging markets thanks in part to excessive liquidity in advanced economies. MH370 report is a much needed 'wake-up call'

    News, Published on 27/08/2018

» The release of the MH370 "Safety Investigation Report" at the end of July marked the culmination of a four-year fruitless search for the missing airliner. Know thy visitors

Life, Pongpet Mekloy, Published on 27/08/2018

» Almost three decades ago when I was a university student, I occasionally had to travel to Don Mueang airport for a part-time job. Back then, it was Bangkok's only airport, and, with the tollway not yet in existence, was considered very far from the city centre. There, my task was to ask departing tourists to fill in questionnaires for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), which wanted to know what they liked or disliked, as well as their spending behaviour, during their visits.
